Do you verify a patient’s insurance?
For RingIQ AI answered calls, we verify the patient’s vision insurance is accepted at your practice based on the insurance provisions in your Patient Management Program. If the patient does not have insurance or their insurance is not accepted, they are informed they will need to pay for the examination. Pricing information can be discussed.
How do I get started?
If you want to begin, tell us. We will send you a service agreement. You must provide a credit card for the first month’s calls. You can stop the program by email before the 25th of the month for the next month’s service.
Does RingIQ understand that not every doctor has the same appointment schedule?
Absolutely. RingIQ.ai is designed to adapt to your unique EHR/PMS schedule and each doctor’s individual preferences, as learned from the exam schedule in your patient management program.
How does RingIQ know what insurance our practice accepts?
The RingIQ AI program sees your office’s insurance provisions from your EHR/PMS platform.
Can RingIQ, Iris, the call assistant, make outbound calls?
Not at this time. Iris, the AI call assistant, will quickly learn about your practice and make intelligent outbound patient recalls. Iris, the AI call assistant, will know the patient’s insurance, the date of the last visit, and the patient’s vision exam details and be able to immediately schedule a convenient returning patient exam while calling.
How will I know the “learning calls” are correct?
Your RingIQ dashboard will record every call you can review to confirm they are correct. All RingIQ calls are recorded (patients are informed during the call), transcribed, analyzed, and prepared for AI learning. Your AI call assistant will update your call information daily with new information.
How does Iris handle pricing questions?
Iris also knows the pricing, services, and product information in your EHR/PMS.
How does the call assistant handle calls about billing problems?
These are usually long calls with extended hold times. Iris will talk to the caller and let them know it will be faster if the caller tells Iris the problem. Iris will document the issue and the office will call back with an answer. If the caller does not want to tell Iris about the billing problem, then the caller will be connected immediately to the office during business hours.
Can the call be transferred to the office if a caller does not want to talk with an AI agent?
Yes, during business hours, without delay. After business hours, Iris will take a detailed message and follow your designated instructions for when and where to relay the patient’s message.
Can the AI call assistant have different contact instructions for different situations?
Yes. Depending on the caller’s unique situation, the Ai call assistant can be prompted with several instructions. Options range from notes for the next day’s business to special outbound calls, texts, and emails directly to the doctor. Rules can be different by weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
What about special issues not on our website and perhaps not in the initial learning calls?
We have a solution for that too. We will provide an online form for you to describe special situations. You can update the form at any time. Iris, the RingIQ AI call assistant, will remember your special instructions and include them as needed in patient conversations. For example, if you require a special $25 deposit for all rescheduled calls, Iris will remember to ask for this deposit when rescheduling appointments, showcasing the AI’s adaptability.
How would RingIQ.ai answer patient questions about ‘walk in’ exams?
The RingIQ AI program, Iris, learns everything displayed on your website to provide accurate and up-to-date information about walk-in exams. Iris can also discuss the details of your practice and walk-in exams. The AI agent will also learn from the initial ‘training calls’, ensuring it can handle many patient queries. If a patient calls about a welkin appointment, then Iris will transfer the caller to your office so your staff can confirm your availability.
How many calls can you answer at one time?
RingIQ.ai is designed for efficiency and can handle 25 simultaneous calls, ensuring that your patients are promptly attended to.
